Islamic Protest-

 

Jordan and I went to a protest off of Balboa, I felt out of place, and everyone was being pretty hostile towards the camera except for the young girls. The van pictured above kept circling the mosque and yelling racist remarks. A police officer made me take a picture of him and his license plate just in case he came around again- which he didn’t.

Prayer had just gotten out, and I heard somebody announce the protest and almost everybody gathered to the corner of Eckstrom and Balboa. I just tried not to speak to anybody, and the sky was so very blue that I didn’t mind how rude some were being.

Crocodiles Photoshoot-

I did portraits for Crocodiles new album which should  be releasing in March, 2009. I am most definately looking forward to it, their music style is quite beautiful and as are they. They wanted things out of my element- psychedelic, colorful. I also used a Holga, and did a lot of double and triple exposures. I think that may be more their style.

This band was really, really horrible. And their apparel was strange to me, but all the colors blended well. 

 

We drove all the way to Anaheim so The Natives could play this show, at this dingy, little bar. 

Today-

Braiins at the Whistle Stop, San Diego, Calif.

I was drunk, can’t remember their name, I just know they were from Canada and Jojo fell in love.

      

 

Today sucks. Matt is moving out, he got an internship. And I really, really miss Jordan. But, four of my prints are going to be hung up at my school’s gallery. Just for photographing the San Diego punk community.
